Privacy

Short version: there are no accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no password to lose. We measure how many people visit which pages. We do not sell anything about you, and we never see your card details.

What we collect

Visit statistics. The site loads Google Analytics 4 (property G-4NFQN8HVHQ) on every page. It records which pages were opened, roughly where in the world the visitor was, which site or search engine they arrived from, and what kind of device and browser they used. We read it as totals, to see which lessons people actually use. It is not tied to a name, and we do not try to identify anyone from it. Google's own handling of that data is described in Google's privacy policy.

A second counter. Pages also load a small script from ovbmfapps.com, a self-hosted page counter kept from an earlier version of the site. It records page visits and nothing else.

Server and CDN logs. The site sits behind Cloudflare, which keeps ordinary request logs, including IP addresses, for security and for serving pages quickly.

What stays on your own device

A few settings are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your computer and we cannot read them:

• heb4you_theme - whether you chose light or dark
• heb4you_favourites - the words you saved to My Words
• flashcard-muted - whether flashcard audio is muted

Clearing your browser data clears all three, and your saved words go with them. There is no copy on our side.

The contact form

The form on the contact page is delivered by Web3Forms, which passes your message and whatever address you type on to our inbox. We keep the message so we can reply. We do not add you to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

Buying something

Purchases happen entirely on Ko-fi, Etsy or Teachers Pay Teachers. Payment details are entered on their site, handled by their payment processors, and never reach this one. Each of them tells us who bought what and gives us a way to email that buyer about their order; each has its own privacy policy, which applies to what happens on their side.

Children

The site is built to be usable by children learning Hebrew, and it asks nobody for personal details, so a child can use every page without giving anything up. If you are a parent and want to know what a specific page does, ask us.

Your say

Because we hold no account and no profile, there is usually nothing of yours for us to hand over or delete. If you have written to us and want that message deleted, ask through the contact page and it will be.
